After having tried multiple design layouts for the posters, I have decided to change my original idea of having them surrounded by a silhouette of a main character to a more simple and stylised graphical design. I have designed the final layouts on paper which I will digitise using Photoshop and Illustrator . All three of the posters will be designed to look as if they are connected, so each poster has a colour scheme of red somewhere on the design. I sketched out the initial designs on paper first, and then scanned it so that it was easier to digitise in Photoshop and Illustrator. I will be using the pen tool and the brush too to create the designs so they look stylistic.
Jurassic Park :
Originally I wanted the design to contain many elements from the film, but I have decided for a simpler design where the dinosaur takes up the majority of the poster itself. The bottom of the poster contains the various dinosaur eggs which relate to the first film and the banner at the top of the poster also relates to the first movie.
Captain America :
The final poster is not that far from the original design, as the half Captain America / Half Red Skull still features as the main part of the poster. I decided to make it a war poster as it fits with the theme of the first movie as it is set in WW2 so it will link to the first movie.
This will be the final poster layout for the Jurassic Park poster, I will make it using photoshop, and my Wacom tablet. The background will be a gradient, and then the dinosaur will look as if it is part of a skeleton so it will be black and white.
Originally I wanted the Star Wars design to have the rebel helmet with various characters from the saga placed around it. I then had the idea to place three helmets from The Force Awakens so the viewer knows the individual characters from a recent instalment.
