Maya Crate

In Maya I made this crate, including its texture using hypershade and Photoshop

New layer from selected

cube

channel box

x y z-  0 0 0

Polycube  1 4 for Width Height  Depth

ctrl and shift to add settings to toolbar

Hypershade Window

Add textures

click onto purple box to adjust amount of tiles

‘UV’ = representation of x and y axis

Adjust UV to add more tiles  (UV EDITOR)

Cartesian grid system used in maya 

Make sure cube is assigned to lambert one (grey)

  • polygons in UV editor

polygon snapshot

project folder

images folder-box UV

x y size 1024 (UV SNAPSHOT)

output as JPEG

Minimize maya

Open Images folder

Open with photoshop

Cmd + I    to invert picture of grid from black to white

file  (RENDER SETTTINGS)
